Ballybryan National School Enrolment

Enrolment for Ballybryan National School will take place from Tues the 21st February to Thursday the 23rd February each day from 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

If these times are not suitable please phone the school on 046 9737365 to make alternative arrangements.

Please bring your child's Birth cert, and Baptismal cert, ( if Baptized outside of the parish of Rhode)

Catholic School Week 2012
Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday next January 29th. An integral part of Catholic Schools Week is the celebration of Grandparents' Day on Wednesday, February 1st. To honour and celebrate the important role of grandparents in the life of our community and to honour St. Bridgids' Day we will have Mass on Wednesday 1st Feb at 11.50am. A cup to tea will be available after Mass , and Grandparents are invited to visit classrooms afterwards to talk to and answer questions in their respective Grandchilds class. Everyone is welcome.

Parent/Teacher Meetings.
Parent/Teacher meetings will be held during the month of February. Dates and times will issue soon.

First Communion/Confirmation.
Confirmation will take place on Saturday, April 21st, and First Communion on Saturday May 12th.

Sky Dome Academy.
Sky Dome Academy - a digital mobile Planetarium will visit our school on Tue. March 13th. The Sky Dome enables the pupils to explore the planets of the Solar System and the moons of those planets. The cost is €5 per pupil, but our Parents Association is very kindly sponsoring this exciting and educational experience. The Sky Dome will be set up in Ms. Fitzgerald's room, that day, as the dome is over 4 metres high.

Green Schools.
A representative from an Taisce will visit us on Monday next, to assess our schools efforts and work towards the award of our 5th Green Flag. The theme of our work over the 2 years was "travel".

Old Clothes Collection.
There will be a collection of old clothes on Tuesday 14th Feb at 9.30a.m. at the school. Bags will be delivered to you prior to the collection date.

Computer Classes

Computer classes for pupils take place each week from second class to sixth class.
Cost is €1.00 for second class and €1.50 for third, fourth, fifth and sixth.

Progressive 25 Card Game - Tea List 2011/2012
The Progressive 25 Card Game starts back on Thursday 6th of October 2011.

First Communion
First Communion Mass will take place on Saturday 12th of May 2012 at 12.00 noon.
First Communion Preparation Masses are as follow :
23rd Oct 2011 Enrolment Mass 11am
20th Nov 2011 Second Mass 11am
29th Jan 2012 Third Mass 11am
11th March 2012 Fourth Mass 11am
12th May 2012 Fourth Mass 11am

Confirmation 2012
Confirmation Mass will be held on Saturday 21st of April at 12.00 noon.

Gaelic Football

There will be football training for the boys and girls from junior infants to sixth class every Tuesday evening from 3.15pm to 4.15pm in Rhode football field.

P.E. Day

Thursday is P.E. day for all classes.
